Waking up in the morning on the next day, we continued to our next study destination that is Nanyang Technological University. Delightfully, we started our first step of interaction session IEEE NTU Student Branch by having our breakfast together. While having the most important meal of the day, we started our conversation about the environment, culture and lifestyle at campus. It was a good start as a warm up to get to know all the IEEE NTU committees through face-to-face communication at the canteen table. As the host, the president of IEEE NTU Student Branch, Mr Sahil together with his team brought us for a tour around the NTU campus. We went to Lee Kong Nam Library, Auditorium, Lecture Hall, Chinese Association Hall, The Hive and NTU School of Art Design and Media. It was a splendid time walking around the NTU campus with friendly NTU Student Branch’s committees as our tour guides who explained the details as we walk. The architectures of the buildings of NTU were so impressive. We were even told that the Hive is a new learning hub built in the most natural manner where the building stays cool without air-conditioning. The building designed with 12 non-hierarchal round-shaped towers tapered inwards to the base was a breakthrough that wipes off our perception that a school building has to be rectangular enclosed spaces. We had fun times for selfies around NTU campus while not forgetting to have our Memorandum of Understanding agreed between both IEEE USM Student Branch and IEEE NTU Student Branch. The MOU enables both student branches to collaborate more in the future by means of communication and sharing of knowledge and resources, hence benefiting and improving each other.
At this time of the day, we have completed the most parts of the study trip at Singapore. Well, we work hard and play hard too. After paying the visits, we are free to play around Singapore. During the afternoon, we went to Gardens-by-the-Bay and walk all the way around the Marina Bay and completed our mission to have a selfie with the Merlion! It took quite some courage and perseverance for us to walk all the way but still the memories are worth it. After a tiring walk, we stopped for a while listening to the pleasant musical performances at the Esplanade – Theatres on the bay, Singapore. Then, we went to the most crowded place in the town, Orchard road to treat our hungry stomach. After getting full and refresh, we continue to stroll around there and end up chit-chatting at Smoothie King 313 @Somerset. After a drink, we made our way back to the hotel for a good rest.

Good Morning Singapore! This would be the last day of the trip but never mind. We were going to make the most fun out of it. In the early morning, we prepared well early and checked out from the hotel and headed to breakfast before going to the final destination – Universal Studios Singapore. We had fun with the most thrilling and exciting rides, CYLON and Revenge of the Mummy; and of course had lots of photos taken there to capture all the cherishing moments. Though the weather less ideal, we really had all the fun and laughter. Before saying goodbye to Singapore, thanks to our student branch mentor Simon Yeoh, we had a luxury dinner and again a snapshot of all the happy faces call for the end of the trip.
