The 2016 IEEEXtreme programming challenge 10.0 was held worldwide from 22th October 2015 to 23th October 2016. IEEEXtreme is an annual global challenge in which teams of IEEE Student members—advised and proctored by an IEEE member, and often supported by an IEEE Student Branch—compete in a 24-hour time span against each other to solve a set of programming problems.
The participants of this event worked their brains out in solving in solving the arduous programming problems came out in the challenge.
USM IEEE Student Branch has successfully held the event at Microcomputer Lab, Electric and Electronic School. Students were exposed to the programming software such as Code::Blocks, C++, and Python. Students were given a set of global programming problems which must be solved within 24 hours. This programming competition allowed them to realise their creativity and flexibility when solving the real world problem by using any type of programming software. Besides, all participants showed their teamwork during this 24 hours global programming competition. The participants are able to understand how the programming language works. The students are able to engage and try the global competition questions which were set by IEEE Organization.
